The Importance of Executable Files to the Computer

From James Morano, E.T.C.A.

The executable file, or the .exe file is present in all Windows and DOS systems. When this file is clicked on a number of functions get executed automatically, even though human cannot read it. These files are actually needed for the installation of files and for running them. Some examples of .exe files include ielowutil.exe, iexplore.exe, igfxpers.exe, igfxtray.exe, ipoint.exe, itype.exe, javaw.exe, jp2launcher.exe, jqs.exe and ping.exe.

Files ending with .exe

These files are recognized by the operating systems, whether they are in the Desktop Operating System, or Microsoft Windows or even in Symbian. These are different from the .txt formats, which have text files that are easily read by human minds. The computer uses a number of short forms, when saving files, such as doc for document, txt for text and zip for zipped files. Here are a few examples of these files, so you can see that they all end with .exe.They are mscorsvw.exe, msiexec.exe, msmpeng.exe, naprdmgr.exe, nbcore.exe, ntkrnlpa.exe, nvvsvc.exe, osppsvc.exe and perfmon.exe.

The exe files are one of the most important types of files for the computer system. This is mainly because these are the files used for running the programs and then installing them. Some are related with Internet explorer, while some are related with other software. These include the jucheck.exe, mdm.exe, mmc.exe, mmloaddrv.exe, mom.exe, mrt.exe. When you look at the .exe file, you will think that it is of no use. However, these files are of great use. Sometimes viruses may also come up in such forms. So, you see .exe files are not something to ignore. Some of these are really important for the computer.

See you next week! James Mor.
